Cards for the fun of it!!

Can you tell I received a new toy!

The die to cut these flowers or paper lace.

I just zip it through my Big Shot machine. I love it!!

The center under the button is a new product to me, Tiny marbles.

I like the way they look, I am sure I will use them in other projects.

A secret note under the flap!

cards062

Doesn’t that button look like a face on the flower!

cards063

I like pink and green together!

Last Friday I had the privilege of teaching cards at the Senior Center, I was a fill in for Sharon who was at Regionals in Orlando, FL.

I really enjoy making cards with them!!

These are also the cards we made at my house on Thursday.

I did Arbor Day and Earth Day!

I am glad I have a picture, because I spilled coffee all over my desk and this card!!  Sometimes you know what happens!!

The tree and background were sponged.

Another Birthday Card for Betty

This one has faux stained glass on vellum, (flowers and Birthday wishes).

It is real easy to do, you just stamp your image onto vellum and then turn it over and color it in using colored markers. The results are wonderful.

The bow looks red on the picture, I promise the bow is pink in real life!!

cards039

Really it is PINK!!

Happy Birthday Betty

Sorry I haven’t blog for a while, I have had the flu, Type A, and it was miserable!!

Today is Betty’s Birthday, I made three cards and my husband, Mark, picked the one to send to her.  Today’s card is not the one that was sent, (I was late in sending so I don’t think she has it yet!).

All three are pink her color!!

This one has a folded paper strip that looks like a braid with a ribbon through it and a birthday Wishes oval wrapped in ribbon, to look like candy.

I hope you like it.

Creative Sketches CS23C

Thursday Creative Sketches
CS23C-0310.jpg

These are the colors of the week!
Basic Gray is the card,
Bashful Blue is the nest layer with the lace cuts.
The flower is stamped with Black Stazon ink on whisper white
cardstock.  Then I punched out the pedals with my Stampin’ UP
Blossom Punch.  I inked the pedals with re-ink dye of Bashful blue
and Baja Breeze.  I had to wait for them to dry before I could
assemble the flower.
The leaves are also punched from the blossom punch, but I stamped
them with The Lovely As a Tree Stamp Set and the sentiment from
Elements of Style,  Part of Shelli’s Signature Collection.

Starbucks gift card Mega Holder!!

I made this for my daughters birthday last year.  She is the Queen of Starbucks and loves her coffee.  It is made with a lot of recycled paper bags from Starbucks.  A bag is also made into an envelope with handles, I thought it was a clever idea!!

I hope you enjoyed it as much as she did.

You could do this for any store or gift card.

Starbucks was more than happy to give me stickers and paper bags to create this.  They took pictures of it and said they would put it on there web site; however, I never saw it!!

Enjoy your Starbucks!!!
