Thursday the ladies, including my 4 year old granddaughter, Leann, and her sister Marissa age 1, made cards. Marissa colored on the floor, but Leann made cards right along with all of us. She did great.
I think I posted this before, but we made a few changes for the better, I think!!
This is Leann’s Card!!
We all had a great time!!

These two cards are also gold embossed.
I love the hummingbird!
I have not seen any this year yet, but I keep looking, they love my Bottle Brush Bushes, and they are in bloom!!
It is hard to see in the picture but behind the Humming Bird is another one, that was stamped on vellum and I used sparling powder. It gives the feel of motion of the bird.
I didn’t stamp the saying on this card, I left it blank so I could add one as need and occasion arise. The flower again gold embossed on vellum and very carefully cut out.

This weeks challenge was a sketch only.
I used my new DSP (Designer Series Paper) and my new stamps!
Just because I care (the large flower) is a hostess only set.
Book a party so you can also have this beautiful stamp!
Also used my new Live, Laugh, Love stamp.
I love that stamp, LOL.

This card is gold embossed on vellum paper and colored on the back with markers. Then I carefully cut the shells and star fish out and mounted them on card stock then on card stock again. The thing I did different than I have ever done before is I covered the card with tulle, then I twisted some and knotted it across the center of the card, The card looks better than in the picture. You can’t see the netting that is over the whole card in the picture.
Hope you like the shells.

My son-in-law Brent is graduating from Flagler College this month, so I made 2 cards on for his mother and one for me to give him, I really don’t know which one I like better. My granddaughter picked the black and white one. We will see. He is a an avid gardener and loves the out doors.
Congratulations… Brent. I know you don’t read my blog so I can post your cards!!
These trees were embossed with gold embossing powder.
This tree was stamped onto vellum paper – then colored and sponged on the back. Something like the faux stained glass.

Just to change it up a bit,
I hope you enjoy looking at a piece of American history.
The first post cards made were pictures taken of family then made into a card to post or send to family. I was told that by the owner of these wonderful cards, my neighbor Cheryl. And the first few cards are from her family!!
Do you see how the baby is being fed?
I also learned the oldest postcards do not have a line down the middle on the back, making a writing area and an address area. One the first cards the entire back was used for the address, that is why you see writing on the bottom of the front of the old cards.
Very interesting Cheryl!!
I have a lot more of her cards scanned and still more to scan.
With some of them I want to make cards, like the ones below:
Lots more to come.

After stamping the images the background was sponged with inks.
Hope you like it.

Two new ladies joined me this Thursday.
Welcome!!
We made two cards; however, I only have one of them, one of the ladies needed an extra card so I gave her mine.
The background paper of blue and green was painted by my
grandson Dylan Boggs.
Thanks for stopping by.
