A few Antique Post Cards

Just to change it up a bit,

I hope you enjoy looking at a piece of American history.

The first post cards made were pictures taken of family then made into a card to post or send to family. I was told that by the owner of these wonderful cards, my neighbor Cheryl. And the first few cards are from her family!!

I also learned the oldest postcards do not have a line down the middle on the back, making a writing area and an address area.  One the first cards the entire back was used for the address, that is why you see writing on the bottom of the front of the old cards.

Very interesting Cheryl!!

I have a lot more of her cards scanned and still more to scan.

With some  of them I want to make cards, like the ones below:cards127cards128cards129cards130cards131cards132cards133cards134

Lots more to come.

Thanks for stopping by,

Debbie
